Welcome to Events by Marylee! I’m Marylee Santoro, and I officially started Events by Marylee in 2014. Though I'd been honing my planning skills on the side for years before that with formals and official campus parties in college, and then friends’ and family events later on. People used to tell me I should work on a cruise ship. I loved events that much. What we do is like working at Dreamworks, but our canvas is the experiences we create for our clients, bringing people together with love.
That includes my professional career where I've worked as an environmental analyst. While that work, on its surface, seems quite the opposite of event planning, its procedure-driven nature and requisite precision has taught me just how much the details and rules matter, even (especially) when no one notices them. That integrity and philosophy carries over into every event we plan.
I’m very proud of how my deep-rooted love of events has grown into a full-service planning and staffing company with 95+ team members. And yes, all of them share my slightly obsessive love of timelines, backup plans, and an unrelenting desire for service and hospitality and to ensure everything runs smoothly.
