Loving Fall Moments

As I took my daily walk recently, I could not help but notice the start of the change of the season from summer to fall. And suddenly, an old Country Song popped into my head, by Don Williams, “I believe in you,” and I started to take note of all the things I love about fall. In the spirit of Gretchen Rubin’s “Five things that Make Me Happy” list, I thought I would share my list with you, too.

I love the clear blue skies, and the wispy white clouds, I love the rustle of the falling leaves and the gentle breeze, and the warm sun in the sky.

I love the changing colors of the leaves, and the rich orange hues, pumpkins, cornstalks, squash and gourds for decorating with, too.

I love the diffuse light of the earlier setting sun, allowing our string lights to shine sooner.

I love the smell of the crisp autumn air, sweaters or jackets, blazers and hoodies, too.

I love warm soft blankets or a bright pashmina to warm up chilly moment.

I love fire pits and tailgates for football.

I love apples, and cider and the few bees that are catching the end of the season flowers.

I love apple fritters, apple crisp and cinnamon in my coffee, but not pumpkin spice latte! Lol

(Trader Joe’s does have a delicious pumpkin spice cream cheese spread that I have to admit I enjoyed!)

I love fall color palates, squash or pumpkin soup, or pumpkin ravioli with brown butter sauce.

I love nostalgia, and everything old is new again, too.
