Our New Look, Same Heart

Almost exactly two years ago, I wrote a blog celebrating ten years of Events by Marylee and sharing something very close to my heart—our Signature Service Experience.

I shared the importance of the client experience, what it is like to work with us – that our actions are intentional and we operate like your personal concierge to provide you with confidence and peace of mind that you are in good hands, and that it is our desire for you to remember not only the wonderful event we helped you create, but how we made you feel throughout the journey; supported and cared for.

The journey to our new brand has also been intentional. After more than ten years with our original website and branding, it was time for the outside of our business to better reflect the experience we have grown to be known for to our clients on the inside.

After a full year of developing copy and sifting intentionally through 10 years of event photos to come up with some of our favorites, we are so excited to finally share it with you!

More than a new website, an updated logo too!

The Events by Marylee logo may look different, but the story of the original is straight from our roots! It was created by a staff/team member while brain storming at an event one day. ⁠ ⁠The original logo/mark featured my initials as a monogram at the center of a silver fluted beverage tray, much like the trays traditionally used in hospitality. It was a fitting symbol for a business we built around service and event staffing, so when it came time to evolve the brand, that history was something worth preserving.⁠ ⁠ We had the pleasure of working with Emily Foster from Emily Foster Creative, LLC, the monogram and tray-inspired detail were softened and reimagined into the mark you see today.

It feels modern, fresh and refined while still holding onto a piece of Events by Marylee’s beginning, rooted in traditional hospitality.⁠ ⁠ And then there’s the blue! ⁠ I have always loved shades of blue, especially the bright blue that has become so unmistakably ours. Rather than moving away from something that already felt personal, the new palette expands upon it. From soft, airy blues to the deep navy at the heart of the new identity, the colors give the brand more depth and elegance while still feeling unmistakably like Events by Marylee.⁠

Rebranding doesn’t have to mean becoming something completely different. Sometimes, it’s about looking at what has always mattered and finding a new way to tell its story.⁠ ⁠Emily Foster did just that. She shared her patience and insight in bringing this new logo and website to life! Creating this new brand wasn’t about changing who we are. In many ways, it was about becoming more intentional about showing you who we already have become; the service you know, trust and love.

Growing into who we’ve become

As you explore our new website, you’ll notice that our look is more refined and elevated. That 
was intentional.   For our 10th anniversary, I wrote a number of blogs about “Elevating the client and guest experience” for every event, big or small. Reflecting on the 10yrs and writing those blogs laid the groundwork and were the precursors to the development of the new website and need for updated content and copy that reflected our service and client experience.  I did that by emphasizing how we need to engage our senses- so we discussed color- in décor and food and beverage, sound (music), texture – in food and fabrics, flavors and scents through food and florals – you name it, we covered it and enjoyed looking at and sharing the ways you can add that little “pop” of magic to every event.

The Same Signature Service

Our new look may be more sophisticated, but the values behind Events by Marylee remain the same. Providing Peace of Mind. Insightful Planning; Exceptional Results; and of course, my personal favorites: We Put Our Hearts into Everything We Do. Those aren’t simply taglines to us. They represent how we want you to experience working with our team. From our Planning Team to our Service Staff, we take pride in creating an experience that feels comfortable, thoughtful, professional and as stress-free as possible—for you and for your guests. We still want to hear your story. We still want to know what is important to you. We still love handling all of the details.

There is something special about looking back over more than a decade in business and seeing the growth. We’ve grown. We’ve learned. We’ve refined our services. We’ve expanded our team and capabilities. And we’ve had the privilege of being part of so many celebrations and important moments along the way. Our new brand honors that history while giving us room for where we’re going next. This feels more like us. More like the level of experience and expertise we provide. And more like the Events by Marylee you have grown to love.

So, I invite you to explore our new website. Look around, discover the different ways we can support you, and perhaps even begin imagining your next celebration.
